About the work
Harmonic simplicity and folk-like elements imbue the first movement of Ho’s Horizon Images, while the second movement is quite emotion-laden and harmonically dense, the melodic language built on gestures that are equivalent to vocal wails and sighs. The third movement captures a more kinetic and brighter side of Ho’s personality, being quite rhapsodic and gestural.
