This work is published for performance and study. The performance set includes a saddle-stitch full performance score for the pianist and two paperback parts (one player) including both versions for B flat and A clarinets.
About the work:
The composer writes: 'This is an exploration of the lyrical and emotional capablilities of my favourite wind instrument. It is also a musical evocation of the recollection of a memorable visit to the Waipoua State Forest, with its healing air, cool green light, delicate echoing sounds, and the overwhelming sight of Tane-Mahuta, the giant kauri tree.'
Waipoua exists in two versions; the original, for clarinet and piano, and an arrangement for clarinet and string orchestra (PE034).
